Sung Suho Awakens His Powers Earlier Than His Father

Sung Jinwoo has an awakening after the gates start spawning on Earth, but he is initially introduced to fans as a lowly E-rank hunter. However, over time, he gets recruited by the System and becomes the Shadow Monarch in Solo Leveling.

On the other hand, being born to Sung Jinwoo and Cha Hae-In, Suho undergoes the transformation way too early. A few months after his birth, Jinwoo’s son develops the ability to fly, and in school, he overwhelms his classmates with his extraordinary strength. So, Jinwoo decides to suppress Suho’s powers so that his son can lead a normal life.

However, the son of the Shadow Monarch doesn’t require any additional powers to carry forward his father’s legacy. That’s because he is born with immense strength and many other abilities that even his parents have no clue of. For instance, when Cha Hae-in was pregnant, Suho unknowingly enhanced her Mana and helped her grow even more in terms of powers.

Much like his father, the main storyline of Solo Leveling Ragnarok sees Suho awakening as an E-Rank hunter. However, unlike Jinwoo, his son has superhuman skills such as speed, expertise in hand-to-hand combat, and Monster language fluency. Suho is immune to diseases and poison and has an impeccable regenerative ability that allows him to heal himself even during sleep.

Besides that, he harbors the ability of detoxification that allows his body to flush any poison that is detected in his blood. Suho is weaker than his father, but he catches up more quickly than Jinwoo when he was a player during the Solo Leveling events. For instance, Jinwoo uses his Shadow Army to clear the Demon Castle. However, Suho clears all the levels without any help. In fact, he defeats some bosses more quickly than Jinwoo when he fights against those enemies.

While Jinwoo used to balance out between every stat, Suho seems to prioritize strength over everything else. That’s why Suho had more strength as a C-Rank than an actual A-Rank hunter.

Sung Jinwoo Trains Sung Suho Through The Tutorial

If you have read the epilogue of Solo Leveling, you might already know how Sung Jinwoo trains his son in the sequel. However, if you aren’t aware of it, we are here to help you out.

Sung Jinwoo knew that even though he had defeated the Monarch of Destruction, one of the most powerful monarchs in Solo Leveling, the fight wasn’t over; in fact, it was just the beginning. So, he created a tutorial to train Sung Suho in his young years. The program was accessible through a gate, and it helped Sung Suho master his combatting skills even before realizing his full potential.

Much like how the System trained Jinwoo by allocating several challenging quests, the Shadow Monarch made his son fight some of the most potential members of his army in the tutorial. Suho also locked horns with Bellion, Beru, and Igris in this domain.

Well, as Suho has inherited the shadow powers and abilities of his father since birth, he doesn’t exert much effort to fight his opponents. Even though he doesn’t become the next Shadow Monarch in any sense, he does inherit most of Jinwoo’s powers. These include Shadow Extraction, Ruler’s Authority, Shadow Preservation, Monarch’s Domain and Shadow Exchange.

However, his strength doesn’t allow him to lose the game until Jinwoo takes the matter into his own hands. So, basically, no one other than the Shadow Monarch could defeat him. You could say that in the tutorial, Suho became the strongest human after his father.

Suho didn’t remember having these powers outside of the tutorial as Jinwoo had suppressed all his abilities so his son could lead a normal life. This means, in the real world, Suho had to start from E-Rank, like his father, and level up to match the level he was in the tutorial.

Some Monarchs Blessed Sung Suho With More Powers

Suho not only received powers from his father but was also granted some potent abilities by other Monarchs. Rakan blessed him with the beast possession ability that enhances his abilities by 30% during a duel. Querehsha grants him the blessing to stay immune to the poison, and whenever he ingests a poison, he can use it against the opponents in a fight.

Despite gaining immense strength and magical abilities over time, we can’t say that Suho has yet reached his full potential. There’s a long road ahead of him to be as powerful as his father, Sung Jinwoo, who has now become a cosmic entity.
